I believe in tangible and sustainable learning. Each coaching programme, facilitated or skills-based workshop focuses on gaining the positive commitment of the individual(s) to implement new learnings, however challenging, in their daily work.
To create an effective approach to sustainable learning I offer the following:
- building in follow-up meetings with participants
- delivering short refresher workshops 2-3 months later
- running small group phone calls focusing on specific objectives form the workshops
- supporting HR or line managers in keeping the learning alive
These mechanisms make the programmes as time and cost effective as possible from an organisational perspective. They also encourage a culture of ongoing learning within an organisation.
